When selecting a lawn care service provider, here are 6 important things to consider:
1. Number of Years in Business
Are they a new company or an established company? Do they have a website? A website provides credibility. If they have been operating for a number of years then you can also expect reliability (ie they won’t disappear before summer is over).
2. Product and Service Quality
Do they have a satisfaction guarantee? Are they setting realistic expectations of what you should expect after they provide lawn care, weed control and other services? Do they belong to professional organizations?
3. Reputation
Ask them for referrals or go online and search for reviews.
4. Employees
Do they have long term employees? Lack of long term employees together with high staff turnover makes one wonder why their employees don’t stay their long term. Long term staff ensure consistency of service from year to year and bring experience and expertise.
5. Price
Are their prices in line and competitive with other similar providers? If their prices are super low or very high, check out why. Are you comparing apples to apples? For example the property size, number of applications, is GST included in the price, etc.
6. Customer Service
Do they answer the phone when you call and return calls quickly? Ask the company for personal references before you sign up or book a service.
